First of all, you’ll need to make sure you have a valid passport. If your passport has expired, you’ll need to renew it before you can travel. If you plan on traveling internationally for more than 6 months, it is essential that your passport has at least six full months of validity. This will ensure uninterrupted travel and avoid any complications when returning back home from an out-of country trip.
You’ll also need to make sure you have all the necessary vaccinations for your destination. If you’re planning a flight London Johannesburg, you’ll need a yellow fever vaccination. And if you’re after a flight London Sao Paulo, you’ll need a yellow fever and polio vaccination. You can get these vaccinations from your GP or at a travel clinic.
And no matter where you plan on flying to you need to bring proof of Covid vaccinations. The only way to travel securely these days is if you have proof that your vaccinations are up-to date. If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid you can read more about how to use your NHS COVID Pass to prove your vaccination status abroad.
And, if you haven’t been vaccinated against Covid, you need to find out more about arranging private COVID-19 tests depending on where you travel to. This I not available on the NHS.
Once you have your passport and vaccinations sorted, you’ll need to book your flight. Air France has a few different options for London to Johannesburg or Sao Paulo flights. You can choose from economy, premium economy, or business class.
If you’re flying economy, you’ll be able to bring one carry-on bag and one checked bag. If you’re flying premium economy, you’ll be able to bring two carry-on bags and two checked bags. And if you’re flying business class, you’ll be able to bring three carry-on bags and three checked bags.
Once you’ve booked your flight, you’ll need to apply for a visa. If you’re flying to Johannesburg, you’ll need a tourist visa. And if you’re flying to Sao Paulo, you’ll need a business visa. You can apply for your visa online or at your local embassy.
The number of airline cancellations and delays is at an all-time high, leaving holidaymakers facing long flights with no guarantees on when they’ll be able to fly. Make sure to get there early and read up on flight delays and cancellations.
And that’s it. Once you have your passport, vaccinations, visa, and timing at the airport sorted, you’re ready to travel to Johannesburg or Sao Paulo. Bon Voyage!
