The park is composed of large marshes and over 1.5 km of dunes where more than 200 species of birds live, as well as many marine species and plants of great environmental importance. In 1987 it was declared special protection area for birds and meadow of international importance by the Ramsar Convention for wetlands protection.
Most of the park is flooded, forming freshwater marshes densely populated with vegetation, creating the perfect habitat for a large number of birds.Nature lovers will enjoy the 4 well marked itineraries, as well as the 4 viewpoints for bird watching around the park. The routes are t sa Roca, la des Colombars , la des Cibollar y el camino d’Enmig. Tours can be done by bike or on foot to discover this unique corner of the island. The best thing you can do, is to first see the reception center of the park located 1 km from the entrance, where we provide information and assistance on all routes and possibilities offered in S’Albufera.

How do I get to the Park of the Albufera?
Palma de Mallorca, take the road to Puerto Alcudia. The entrance is on the road Puerto Alcudia-Artà, Muro Beach on the bridge of the Englishmen. Access to the Natural Park of S’Albufera can be done on foot or by bicycle via the Pont dels Anglesos. You can park the motor vehicle in the nearby urbanizations vials or parking enabled for this purpose near the entrance of the Park.
