Alameda Park is a beautiful place in which marbellís and tourists gather to escape, in minutes, from the hustle and bustle of the city.It has, as its core, a large fountain surrounded by lush vegetation, palm trees, beautiful Andalusian tile benches and shade everywhere.
It’s a real pleasure finding this oasis of peace in the heart of Marbella, full of lush vegetation and a beautiful garden to stroll and hear the birds singing while chatting with friends or just sitting on a bench to read a book.
This is a relatively small but charming park, which all Marbella locals are proud of. Formerly it occupied an area of over 20,000m2. Unfortunately, with the passage of time, this area has been reduced due to the high demand for building land.
What to see near Alameda Park in Marbella?
From one of the entrances of the park we can take the famous Avenida del Mar that leads directly to the promenade of Marbella. If we visit the Alameda Park Marbella, worth a stroll through this beautiful pedestrian Avenida decorated with marble, wood pergolas and benches where surprisingly we find a series of sculptures made by none Salvador Dalí. It is 10 bronze sculptures called, naked woman climbing a staircase; Horse with people stumbling; Mercury; Perseus; Don Quixote seated; Gala gravid; Gala at the window; Trajan on horseback; Cosmic Man on dolphin and elephant.
Definitely a pleasant walk that will take us directly to Mediterraneao. In the surrounding area, you will find many bars, restaurants and terraces with a fabulous atmosphere.
