Albufereta beach: Alicante | destinations guide Tripkay

Albufereta beach

This beach is a beautiful urban beach located northeast of the city between the districts Serra Grossa and Tossal de Manises.

Beautifull Albufereta beach

On this beach began the origins of the city of Alicante, as the nearby archaeological sites show. A few 800m from Albufereta beach are the remains of a sunken Roman ship that probably headed to the commercial port on the Albufera and that has undergone a fantastic job of underwater archeology.

The beach has a nice tongue of golden sand 400m long and calm waters that make it ideal for swimming.

It is situated in the center of a residential area of the same name and its central location makes it a very busy place during the summer when the beach is crowded.Playa de la Albufereta represents a classic summer resort of Alicante.
The Albufereta beach has good facilities such as showers, toilets, lifeguard stations, gateways disabled, rent umbrellas, parasols, rent pedal boats, playground and a wide gastronomic selection.
