Cala d’Hort is a beautiful beach south of Ibiza and one of the most beautiful in the municipality of San Josep de Sa Talaia. A marvel, it is a beautiful tongue of coarse sand lapped by crystal clear waters in an exceptional natural environment. The beach is located in the heart of Parque Natural de Cala d’Hort, one of the most important protected areas of the island. Surrounded by cliffs of small height, it features on one side a set of old boatyard houses where fishermen keep their boats.

The beach has 3 excellent restaurants, one is called Del Carmen which is very popular in Ibiza, and there is another close one called Es Boldado. In all of them you can taste the delicious dishes of the island mainly based on fish or a flavoursome fish paella. All of them have fantastic views of the sea and Es Vedrá.

The islets of Es Vedrá are famous for their stories of pirates and many mystical stories of apparitions reported by fishermen that have created over the years an aura of mystery around them.

If you drive it is easy to reach it, since it is well sign-posted and you can park in a stream located on the beach which in high season is usually pretty full and you have to park at the top of the hill.
