Cetaceans and Whale Watching in Tarifa

Tarifa is famous for the surf, wind and spectacular beaches. But if you didn’t know, this is also a stopping place for more than seven species of cetaceans, such as whales, dolphins, sperm or pilot whales. This area was declared an Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO in 2006.

Sailing for about two hours in the waters of the straits, you can spot numerous species of dolphins, orcas and whales in the wild, always in a respectful manner. Remember that the currents in these waters are strong and the sea can be a bit choppy, so we recommend taking motion sickness pills if needed to enjoy 100% of the trip without getting dizzy.
