Es Jondal is one of the most famous beaches in the south of the island, located in a unique and privileged enclave. It is a beautiful beach just 10 km from San Josep and is famous for its thick cobbles, for its crystalline waters and having on its shore some of the trendiest restaurants on the island.
It is formed by thick stone that can become quite uncomfortable for swimmers but local people have installed wooden walkways to the water. Once in the water, the bottoms are of fine sand.
The beautiful Playa Es Jondal is sheltered from Monte Punta Es Jondal, where the mountains fall into the sea as cliffs washed by beautiful turquoise waters.
On this beach are some of the most chic of the island, where we can see many personalities, famous and beautiful people enjoying the sunshine of Ibiza during the months of July and August. Everyone wants to see and be seen in Cala Jondal. It is therefore not surprising that during the summer months there are numerous yachts and sailboats moored in their funds.
Famous trendy restaurants like Blue Marlin, Yemanja or Tropicana are in Es Jondal, where you can taste delicious dishes of the Ibizan cuisine and international cuisine dishes, also you can enjoy a massage or lie on a king size bed to drink up a bottle of French Champagne or a refreshing cocktail.
How to get to Es Jondal Beach ?
From Sant Josep, you have to take the road of Eivissa and turn right at the junction of Sa Cova Santa. Then, continue to about 4 km more, until you see another road that goes right and that leads directly to the beach. It is very well indicated. You can also get to Es Jondal from airport, following the road that runs along the coast of Sant Josep.
