Port-of-Ciutadell-in-Menorca

The port of Ciutadella is located in the western part of the island of Menorca and has 1,170 meters in length and a width of 110 to 15 meters. Its connects the ports of Mallorca and Barcelona by shipping companies that have regular routes, such as Balearia and Iscomar.
This port is known for its “Rissagas”, a meteorological phenomenon that occurs occasionally in the Balearic Islands, which are known as Mareas del Pino, because they tend to occur at the time when the holiday is celebrated, and are characterized by a rise or lowering of the sea level in Ciutadella, that can leave the port without water or conversely, flooding the surroundings.
