Playa de Figueretes “Ses Figueretes” in Ibicenco, is a beautiful beach of clear and fine sand about 500m in length located in the city center (you can walk if you are not too far from the center), and it is the only urban beach town.
It is located in the neighborhood of the same name which originated because it was a field area where many fig “figueres” trees were grown. On one side is Playa d’en Bossa, and at the other is Es Soto, with much less tourist infrastructure. Because of this, we could say that it is the most unspoiled area of the city of Ibiza.
Playa de Figueretas featuresa beautiful palm-lined promenade, terraces and bars, restaurants, cafes and a wide range of tourist accommodation. Once on the beach,you can rent chairs and hammocks. The beach has toilets, showers, you can even do kayak. It is very common that at sunset many people start fishing.
During the summer months, there is a busy and lively night market that together with the great cuisines and leisure activities creates a really fascinating atmosphere.
Neighborhood parties are held in the summer in Ses Figueretes on the beach, featuring a large fireworks display that is launched from an islet off the beach. It is a very nice experience if you have a chance to experience the festive environment its great visual beauty.
