Palma de Mallorca
An open to the sea, cheerful and cosmopolitan city that immediately catches the visitor with its many attractions, such as the old town with its narrow streets and its medieval layout next to the port where we find the Cathedral, the Almudaina or La Lonja, which hold the most monumental and liveliest areas of the city. The Sierra de Tramontana
The Sierra de Tramontana runs along the northern part of the island, given its large size is difficult to cross it completely; one of our favorite towns are Valldemosa and Soller. Northeast of the island is an authentic beauty and is one of the most emblematic regions of Mallorca. One of the things we cannot stop doing is to enjoy the Puerto de Soller and visit the fishing port, a picturesque place with low houses and small boats fishing called “yaguts” moored in the harbor. Then get on the Mallorca tram and have a nice 20-minute walk to the village of Soller to visit this beautiful town. Finally, drive 25 km to the village of Valldemosa, 436 m above sea level, and enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes of the island. Catedral de Palma
One of the essential visits you cannot miss, the Catedral de Palma is the real gem of the island and its most emblematic monument. Situated near the port is the main exponent of Levantine Gothic style of the fourteenth century, its beautiful silhouette reflected in the water of the “Parc el Mar” is one of the most photographed images of the island. In its construction collaborated important personalities like Gaudí or the Mallorcan artist Miquel Barceló. As a curiosity, it has the world’s largest rose window. Located next to Palacio de la Almudaina they form the most important and visited city architectural ensemble.
Castell Bellver
Located 3 km from the center of Palma atop the eponymous mountain surrounded by a lush pine forest is found this architectural jewel that dominates the city of Palma de Mallorca and the Bay. Castillo Bellverholds a beautiful circular floor almost unique in the world. In the fourteenth century, James II built this great castle that has a spectacular central courtyard with cylindrical shape four towers. Cuevas de Artá
We recommend a visit to Cuevas de Artá in Término de Capedera in the northeastern part of the island. We recommend the visit of about 40 minutes inside the earth; penetrate the different rooms with amazing changes of light where to admire large columns of stalactites and stalagmites, natural arches and hundreds of structures whimsical shapes.
Strolling through the old town of Alcudia
Alcudiais one of the most beautiful villages in the north of the island, its beaches, its picturesque old town and its walls are some of the main attractions of this beautiful town. Taking a walk through the old pedestrian walk of this magnificent walled city is time travel. Ideally, take the time to wander through the narrow cobbled streets riddled with historic buildings, stone walls, stately homes and churches that preserve all the charm of yesteryear.
Cuevas del Drach in Porto Cristo
Perhaps one of the essential visits of Mallorca in any tourist itinerary are the famous Cuevas del Drach en Manacor, considered one of the most beautiful caves in our country. With more than 1200m long and 25m deep, if you get up there you can enjoy its large rooms with breathtaking natural beauty. Inside, you can make a boat ride and listen to a spectacular classical concert on Lake Martel, which is considered one of the largest underwater lakes in Europe.
Playas de Mallorca
The island of Mallorca is a paradise of sun and sand. Visit Calvario in Pollença
Pollença village, located north of Mallorca, hides a marvel shaped sanctuary on top of Monte del Calvario. There awaits you an emblematic place to enjoy one of the best views on the island, but before that, you must climb the 365 steps that lead to the top. A beautiful road flanked by large cypress trees and large crosses to reach the shrine at the top with spectacular views of Pollença Bay and the Sierra de Tramontana. For those with mobility difficulties, we will say that you can also get there by car. Inside the village, the cobbled streets and corners are filled with restaurants and craft shops with a lovely atmosphere.
Puerto de Andratx
Andratx is one of the main tourist destinations on the island. In its district small paradisiacal creeks abound, with big cliffs and natural parks like Sa Dragonera. The real jewel of this area is Puerto de Andraxt, a small town that has one of the most beautiful natural harbors in our country which has developed around a great holiday infrastructure with many shops, terraces, restaurants and a wide range of night leisure. In its luxury marina, we can make plenty of sea-related activities.
