Alcudia market
Tuesdays and Sundays the traditional market of Alcudia is held near the city walls occupying much of the old town. You will find countless food, flowers, clothing, fruit, souvenirs and crafts stalls. It is a quaint and colorful place where entremezclarte with local people and enjoy traditional Majorcan life. If you like to mingle where you can people relate with local people and spend hours looking at stalls. With no doubt it will be one of your must visits of Alcudia who want to return.
Museo Sa Bassa Blanca
Visit Fundacion Yannick y Ben jakober; it is a wonder that lovers of nature and art will certainly enjoy. Impressive house-museum with gardens, sculptures, paintings and works of art located opposite the sea.
Beaches of Alcudia
Alcudia is a paradise for lovers of sun and beach featuring over 30 km of coastline and 20 beautiful beaches among which it would be very difficult to choose the best. Some of the must visits of Alcudia are Playa de Alcudia, la playa de Sant Joan, la del Muro, S’illot or Coll Baix, you’ll be with your mouth open and feel in the middle of a postcard.
Murallas de Alcudia
You cannot miss Murallas de Alcudia and Puerta del Moll. Climb the well-preserved walls and walk the walkway above them by a stretch of 1.5 km. Also is worth visiting the ancient gateway of the city, called “Moll” (spring) because it was the door looking towards the Puerto de Alcudiato the sea.
Boat route through Bahía Alcudia
Doing an excursion in a classic sailing boat or motor boat in the Bay of Alcudia is another of our favorite activities. From the port, we can hire different companies. For 2 hours you can discover its coastline, dolphin watching, bathing in its waters or enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Ruinas romanas de la Antigua Pollentia
The medieval and Muslim past of Alcudia is present in every corner of the city. But if you’re a lover of history also other surprises awaits you like the yacimiento Romano de la Antigua Pollentia. A city founded in the second century A.C. which is considered the best example of the Romanization of the Balearic Islands.
Hidropark
If you are traveling with children and one day you want to do something fun and different, we recommend visiting the Hidropark, a beautiful water park in Puerto de Alcudia; an ideal place to spend a family day enjoying pools, slides, shows and lots of fun. Tickets cost € 20.90.- for adults and € 14.90.- for children.
Walk the Tramontana
Traveling across the northern part of the island will find the Sierra de Tramontana, that offers beautiful landscapes and footprint of human activity for centuries. We can cross it through some of its winding roads. You cannot miss at least part of this World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape.
