Calafató cove

It is a small cove surrounded by nature and away from urban centers; it is a small jewel of the coast of l'Ametlla.

Along the rugged coasts of l’Ametlla de mar hide, like little jewels, some coves of fine golden sand as this one. The beautiful Calafató cove belongs to Sant Jordi d’Alfama urbanization. It is located a few meters from the marina of Calafat are seen.

Calafató cove measures only 20m long and 15m wide, but the surrounding cliffs and typical Mediterranean vegetation that covers it, give this place an atmosphere of a paradise lost. The beach has daily maid services, security services and rescuer of the Red Cross service. There is  a small bar, showers and toilets too.

The Calafató cove beautiful setting is part of the valuable ecosystem known as the Plana de Sant Jordi. Despite being a location remote from the urban beach, and being so small, it looks pretty busy at first, But it is usually a quiet place especially in medium and low seasons. Often, the visitors that come here are canoeists and tourists who rent kayaks, as the views from the sea are astounding.
The waters in this area are calm and clear, perfect for diving or underwater sports.

Cala Calafató is ideal for family holidays, or for those looking for a quiet place, yet a little developed for tourism, where to breathe fresh air and the only sound heard comes from the birds.
