No visitor should miss the experience of walking one morning through the Central Málaga Market. Today, these buildings are much more than just a market; it is a meeting place for leisurely stroll, smell, taste and hear the voices of the vendors; a real treat for the senses. The people from Málaga enjoy it at any time of the day, whether to shop, eat tapas or drink a “cañita” (bier).
It was built between 1876 and 1979, occupying the site of an ancient Moorish naval workshop of which only the original marble door remains. Today is a metal building with very beautiful stained glass windows and a fabulous atmosphere.
