El Mirador de Formentera, located on the highest point of the island, is a must visit place in any trip to Formentera. The image of this narrow strip of land that pass over the sea, surrounded by an incredibly transparent sea, is not easily forgotten. The best time to get here is at sunset time to enjoy one of the best sunsets in the world.

Right next to the Mirador is a good restaurant called El Mirador de Formentera, open for more than 50 years, that started as a small snack bar to cater to the few tourists who came to the Mirador, and is currently one of the best restaurants in Formentera.

To get here, drive towards the highest point of Formentera, to the town of Pilar de la Mola, crossing a narrow, winding forest road surrounded by lush pines. Before reaching the village you will find it.
