La Rubina Beach is a pristine, shallow and clearsandy beach. It is known in the village as the Wild Beach. This beach is surrounded by dunes and lagoon systems in Natural Park Aiguamolls de L’Empordà,, so there are no buildings but it has all the facilities available to spend a fantastic day at the beach, like a poolside snack bar, lifeguard, WC , showers, a sailing school, and the possibility of practicing other sports.
This beach is very popular with dog owners, because in a stretch of about 200m. pets are allowed on the beach to run and swim in freedom, in a very nice and free environment for their owners.
There is also a parallel way to walk on the beach and into the natural areas where you can do bird watching in the lagoons and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
This area is usually quite windy, so it is well known for windsurfing and wind-related sports.
There is parking on the beach with a marked entrance, it is important to respect not to damage the dunes regeneration because they are protecting the park.
