The Poniente beach Salou, known for its Catalan name Platja de Ponent, is a natural beach of fine golden sand, with a little slope and calm waters, which makes it a perfect beach for families with children. It is an urban beach about 1000m long, bordered by the promenade in Salou which is its westernmost area, as well as the neighboring municipality of Cambrils, specifically with Playa de Vilafortuny.

 

The Poniente beach in Salou holds the Blue Flag and the Q of tourist quality. It has very good facilities, rental of umbrellas and loungers, disabled access, maritime surveillance service, children’s games area and an area reserved for water sports, along the walk there are plenty of restaurants, bars, ice cream shops and all kinds of services, as well as a tourist office next to the Yacht Club and Salou marina.
