La Playa de la Romanilla is an urban beach bordered by Paseo Marítimo de Roquetas de Mar. The average occupancy level is high because it is a very nice beach with good services and is easily accessible. It has been awarded the Bandera azul de la UE, Bandera Ecoplayasand theQ de calidad as well as an example for its excellence in accessibility and caring for people with special needs.
The beach is 1000m long and 60m wide and the sand is rather dark, so it is common to have heavy wind so it is usual to practice water sports such as windsurfing and kite surfing.
It offers a good equipment and good services, rental of umbrellas and hammocks, disabled access, toilets, rental of yachts and a rescuer. It has a snack bar and an area of 250 m of pubs, restaurants and ice cream parlors.
