The coastline of Marbella

One of Marbella’s main attractions as a tourist destination are its 27 kilometers of coastline. All along this city in Malaga are a total of 24 urban and semi-urban beaches that stretch throughout along its coastline

These are beaches with moderate waves and golden or dark fine, medium and thick sand. These beaches are busy during the summer holidays as it is the when most tourists come to visit. The popularity of Marbella as a holiday destination lies in the fun it and the climate offered near the sea.

The most renowned beaches in Marbella

Artola or Cabopino Beach is located in a protected area in the Dunes of Artola, in the district of Las Chapas. It is considered a nudist beach, 1,200 meters long and 30 meters wide.

In the center of Marbella you can find the beaches of Venus and La Fontanilla. The first one with mild waters and located in the old town, near the port of La Bajadilla. It is 400 meters long and 50 meters wide, with all of the services provided. As for La Fontanilla beach, it is located next to the marina of Marbella. It is 1,100 meters long and 30 meters wide.

The beaches of Puerto Banus and San Pedro Alcantara are categorized as blue flag beaches. They are the most popular beaches in Marbella. In Puerto Banus we can find two beaches: Rio Verde Beach and Playa del Duque. The latter is home to Buddha Beach and Ocean Club, two of the finest and clubs Marbella has to offer. San Pedro Alcantara is home to four beaches: San Pedro with its many beach bars, Cortijo Blanco with its many rocky areas, Linda Vista and Guadalmina. These last two have dark sand and rocks. All of them are characterized by their tranquility.

Another beach in Marbella is Don Carlos, free of stones and with showers, toilets, bins, hammocks and parasols. Faro Beach is a small beach with countless services- –Cable Beach is perfect for families with children as the water is not too deep-  Funni Beach –which is dedicated to leisure activities leisure- all located in the center Marbella.
