The Bioparc in Valencia is located west of the city in the river Turia gardens. It is surrounded by a nature that tries to recreate the African savanna, forests of Madagascar and the jungle of equatorial Africa. You will feel in a bubble in this natural oasis in the middle of the city.
The concept called zoo-immersión, tries to present animals in their natural habitat and always trying to hide the barriers that separate them, so that visitors have the feeling that is inside the enclosure between animals. These barriers are created by hidden moats or lakes to give more sense of realism.
What will we find in the Bioparc?
The traveler will enjoy over 2,800 animals of 200 different species, including gorillas, elephants, giraffes, hundreds of species of birds, reptiles and large predators.
The park is considered a huge educational and recreational classroom of 10 hectares, talks about animals and shows are performed and ideally you would spend at least a whole morning. We recommend not to go on rainy days or times of more heat in summer, since animals are hiding and have the same activity as in the morning, when the weather is cooler.
Bioparc also has restaurants and bars, since you cannot get food or drinks to feed the animals. There are seating areas to relax and regain strength to go over the park. A highly recommended spot in Valencia for the whole family visit.
