La Roda beach is a long urban beach with an area of 1400m in length, it is the continuation of Playa Cap Negret, adjacent to the old town of Altea and is bordered by the beautiful promenade of palms that reaches the fishing pier and marina; the yacht club of Altea is 200m from here.

It has been awarded the EU Blue Flag. It is a golden sand beach with calm waters and has very good facilities, disabled access, boardwalks, rental of hammocks and parasols, toilets, showers, an office of tourism information as well as police, lifeguards, a bus stop, parking area, two water sports centers and diving services offered throughout the year.

Throughout the entire paseo abound the number of restaurants, bars and terraces where you can taste the delicious local cuisine or international cuisine. Because of the proximity to the town and good services, La Roda beach usually has a high occupancy level and is a lively area.
