It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Andalucía. Beach of Maro is located in Maro, near Nerja town in the province of Málaga. It is located in a wild natural environment of the Mediterranean in the heart of a Natural Park .
Here, the Sierra de Tejada and Almijara touch the sea in the form of steep cliffs with a slope of almost 100m. Occasionally the cliffs gives way to beautiful beaches such as Maro and the Caleta. Surrounded by nature, there is a small narrow road surrounded by greenhouses and ancient cultures that lead straight to the beach.

Activities in Beach of Maro
One of the funniest things you can do on this beach is renting one of the kayaks at Salamandra Adventure to discover the fantastic natural environment. During the trip, you will enjoy beautiful clear waters, a rugged landscape, small caves and beautiful waterfalls falling into the sea from rivers such as the Doncella or Cascada Grande de Maro.

How to get to Beach of Maro:
Reaching Maro is very easy: just take the old national highway 340 and take the exit at Maro. Once inside Maro, just before the path that takes you back to the N-340, you will reach a roundabout. Then, you just have to take the first exit to the right and continue on the way down.
There is a parking lot on the upper beach. From there, it begins the descent down a narrow road through greenhouses until you reach Beach of Maro.
