Can Comes beach is a vast unspoiled beach located in the center of the Bahía de Rosas, in the town of Castelló d’Empúries.
This is a huge beach of 4km long, an area of dunes and lagoons situated between the mouths of two rivers, the River Muga and Fluvià. It is a totally natural beach, with no services, no buildings, no restaurants, nothing to break the image of the natural beach, as it is located within the Parque Natural dels Aiguamolls. So it will be the perfect place if you are looking for tranquility and escape from the crowds of other beaches.
The occupancy is usually very low as it usually cannot be reached by car, there is a stretch of access but sometimes it is closed. To access,start at Playa de Empuriabrava,neighboring in the northern part, where you have to cross a section with the waterto your knees. In addition, the beach is closed to the public during the breeding season of the birds of the Reserve.
When the wind blows it is a very popular spot by windsurfers and kitesurfing lovers as they find at this beach the perfect place to practice their sport surrounded by nature.
